
For those that might not recall, the popularity of Cuphead swelled so great following its release that Studio MDHR & Netflix agreed to work towards a new animated series exclusive for the streaming service. While details were light on the matter initially, it was evident that the show would structure similar to the game’s universe to bring an authentic tale for viewers familiar or not to enjoy.
It was later that first official information on the show was revealed disclosing the duo of Cuphead and Mugman will be partying on an adventure that mixes mischief and comedy into one series. Additionally, a brief glimpse of footage was also presented growing excitement for patient fans as little details was only sprinkled amid since the announcement.
This week, Netflix has officially released the first full-length trailer for The Cuphead Show. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Follow the misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his easily swayed brother Mugman in this animated series based on the hit video game,” the description for The Cuphead Show reads on the official page for the Netflix series. Fans can also visit The Cuphead Show Countdown which lists how much time until the series airs with an interactive experience that offers “sweet surprises” for completing the game.
In terms of Cuphead news elsewhere, it was in December at The Game Awards that Studio MDHR made an update on the game’s long-awaited DLC. In that, the developer shared ‘The Delicious Last Course’ which had a similar wait time as The Cuphead Show will be arriving later this June. You can read the full report by heading here.
