For fans that have been anticipating for the upcoming release of the Final Fantasy VII Remake to arrive in just a few short months, plenty of users share their anticipation for the complete reimagination of the classic 1997 PlayStation title. And while we have a slew of in-game screenshots and footage of the March-scheduled title, there is plenty more fans would want to experience first-hand, literally.
However, word has been tossed around of a potential demo for the highly-anticipated remake this past week and according to users in a few regions, some managed to download the short game sample before its proper announcement. Upon dissecting some of the code within the demo, some have disclosed early on spoilers for the game to be laid out in their findings. For the sake of those reading, Rectify Gaming will not report on what was found regarding the story aspect of the title.
Instead, there is some more interesting details that might have been embedded within the code that would grab you attention more, a potential PC version for the game. Twitter user @roXyPS3 who datamined the game can confirm that elements of code respectively for PC has been unearthed in the code.
Initially reading the tweet, the dataminer does share that standard resolution, at least for the demo, is only limited to 1920px1080p and 30 frames per second on both PlayStation 4 and the beefier Pro model. On the contrary, there is implication left that upscaling could be achieved for the more powerful Pro, as said by the dataminer.
The Twitter user also verifies that 60 frames per second is also achievable for the demo only if the build is decrypted and/or applying boot-able assets. As for the version that users will be able to install when publicly dispersed, it is best guessed that the tactic to unlock 60 FPS will not be done unfortunately.
Previously, it has been hinted that the approaching Final Fantasy VII Remake will be breaking away from the PlayStation 4 eventually through an updated cover for the game. Discovering the image that users found online, it reveals that the title will be a timed exclusive until March of next year. Which also suggests that a potential PC version is in development alongside for other possible platforms like Xbox.
