It has been no secret that Nintendo is planning to reveal the Switch Successor soon and they said so by the end of March 2025. While nothing has been officially shown there have been leaks from third-party accessory companies such as Dbrand. On Friday, December 12, the official Dbrand X (Twitter) account posted images of a new case that will be for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The next day, Dbrand linked to a page that was titled Switch 2 giving an overall look of the ‘Switch 2 Killswitch’ case. The image of the Switch 2 wasn’t a placeholder image of the current Nintendo Switch. This had differences on the joy cons and on the side. The Right Joy-Con has a new “C” button which we don’t know what it’ll do just yet.
Insider Gaming received confirmation from Dbrand’s CEO, Adam Ijaz that the Killswitch case is designed to fit the Nintendo Switch 2.
“That is correct: it is the Switch 2 with our Killswitch case on it (similar in principle to our Killswitch for the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and ROG Ally X),” Adam Ijaz said to the outlet.
There have been other reports that Nintendo is planning to reveal the Switch 2 in January 2025 with a release happening in Late Spring.
Nintendo has not publicly responded to the recent leaks.
