In an earlier report that was made, Rectify Gaming covered a rumor which disclosed that the coming Batman Arkham title developer by Warner Bros. Montreal is underway for its official reveal sooner than expected, GameReactor puts it. At the time, Rectify Gaming suspected that the game could potentially be showcased at a coming event hosted via Summer Game Fest, but those chances does not look as likely now. Why? Well, DC Comics announced this week to be hosting its own digital showcase later this summer.
Dubbed ‘DC Fandome’, the multimedia entertainment company announces that fans can expect all new projects and endeavors related to DC Comics to be presented at the coming show later in August. That also includes coming games from Warner Bros. as well, the announcement post shares.
The global event will immerse fans into the DC Multiverse, with new announcements from WB Games, Film and TV, and comics, as well as an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind your favorite feature films and TV series.
DC Comics elaborates that there will be five different sectors of DC-related content for all fans to expect during the upcoming showcase: DC WatchVerse, DC YouVerse, DC KidVerse, DC InsiderVerse, and DC FunVerse. In particular, the DC WatchVerse is where we could expect the coming Warner Bros. Montreal title to be revealed.
Additionally, there is the off chance we could expect more of the likes to be unveiled for the next Rocksteady Studios title as well. The developer has been reported to a previously uploaded job listing for its next project to be an “AAA title on the next generation platforms.” However, it is unsure to determine said title is another DC Comics experience or a unique IP altogether.
To elaborate more on Summer Game Fest’s partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Rectify Gaming predicts the involvement between the two will be for Avalanche Software’s unannounced Harry Potter title. Previously, the studio when posting a job listing revealed the unannounced project is very “soon” for its reveal. You can read the full report by heading here.
