It’s one thing to be excited for Silent Hills back in 2015 with the release of playable demo P.T., but try explaining to your past self that the same game will not see the light of day more than seven years later. Instead, Death Stranding became the new reality with Hideo Kojima & Norman Reedus both involved alongside Guillermo del Toro as well.
Another shocking truth was the short time it stood as a PlayStation exclusive. Just over a year later, the game arrive to PC via 505 Games in a surprise turn of events. Additionally, that is not all it appears. Over on Twitter this week, PC Game Pass posted a new profile picture which certainly appears to be the new Kojima Productions game.
And now on Friday, Microsoft officially announces the game is coming to PC Game Pass on August 23rd. This is another Kojima Productions title on Xbox with the previously announced Xbox Cloud Gaming project mentioned back in June.
From legendary game creator Hideo Kojima comes an all-new, genre-defying open world action adventure starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the globe, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With otherworldly creatures plaguing the landscape, and mass extinction imminent, it’s up to Sam Porter Bridges to travel across the ravaged wasteland and save humanity from impending annihilation.

That is not the only Death Stranding news that surfaced in recent events. Elsewhere in an interview with Leoedit, actor Norman Reedus shared that a sequel is already in the works. “We just started the second one,” Reedus stated then. You can read the full report by heading here.
