
Upon the bulk of news that Microsoft has dropped earlier today during the Inside Xbox presentation regarding Smart Delivery as games releasing this generation will also be receiving its own respected version for PC as well, Bungie adds onto the conversation. When Microsoft shared a list of firms that will be involved with the Smart Delivery initiative, Bungie decided to comment on their involvement ahead of further speculation from users online.
In a response tweet, Bungie announces that “Destiny 2 will be on next-gen platforms!” The developer goes on to disclose that more information is imminent on its new project to release the 2017 sequel to the new consoles arriving later this holiday season.
While the topic is only positioned at the approaching Xbox Series X since Bungie responded to Microsoft directly, it is suspected that Bungie will also be working on a PlayStation 5 versions as well. But when we will learn more is left undetermined for the time being.
Howbeit, there is a possibility we could see sometime later on thanks to a certain event that will be going on for the next few months. Directing the attention to Summer Game Fest, the developer is listed to be a participating publisher to reveal news on upcoming projects throughout the course of the four months the event will be running.
In other related news, Microsoft announced games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon, Madden NFL 21, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 to all be implemented to support Smart Delivery when they all respectively release in the coming future.
