
What felt like ages is soon becoming a reality: Diablo IV was originally announced back at Blizzcon 2019. And while much on the game was expected to go to its Diablo II roots once more, the development proceeded nearly four years onward. Following the reveal, it was shared The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson is to depart in a new journey at Blizzard Entertainment with his new role leading Diablo IV development as a general manager for the IP.
Fast-forward to December 2022, The Game Awards revealed Diablo IV is scheduled to ship this June. Of course, PC alongside console – even the modern systems – are listed for release. As you might guess, Microsoft has began laying the Xbox brand on Diablo IV in recent ads for the game as the acquisition for Activision Blizzard continues. The firm recently gained new ground with the U.K. CMA according to a new press release in March.
Now on Thursday, Microsoft has revealed that Diablo IV will be receiving a new Xbox Series X bundle come launch later this summer. Priced at $559, it will include a copy of the game alongside the standard Xbox Series X and controller.
