Yes, 2021 is the current year, but fans continue to grow excited for what is coming next for Dead Space. Weird to conceive the idea, but anticipation swelled immensely for the IP since Electronic Arts and EA Motive unveiled to be working on a reworking of the franchise. However, the game is nowhere close to releasing. Regardless, users sit patiently to grasp what is to come next from the teams involved.
Following the announcement in July, publisher Electronic Arts pressed that excitement around the property just exceed what fans anticipate for studio Full Circle and its work for the new Skate game. “I would close on that point by saying it was one of the most demanded titles for us, maybe just after Skate, which we’ve also announced we’re bringing back,” President & CEO Andrew Wilson told during a recent financial call.
But only given a brief cinematic is sure to leave fans hungry for more, right? Of course, and EA Motive is aware which answers for the livestream taking place later today. Yes, a showcase is to be held to present an “early look” at the game later on today at 10 AM PST / 1 PM EST.
For obvious reasons, it is best to keep your expectations capped due to how early the game might still be in development. Despite that, any gameplay is better than nothing for sure. One caution though is to level our hopes from what is presented though since elements featured in footage prior to the full release might not make it into the full game; there is that to consider as well.
In terms of other Electronic Arts revival projects, developer Full Circle just recently updated on its current Skate title.
