Among some of the breathtaking announcements that stood its ground during the June-scheduled PlayStation 5 showcase, one that levitated to many is Ember Labs’ Kena: Bridge of Spirits. The coming project from the team responsible for the beloved ‘Majora’s Mask: Terrible Fate’ enticed its viewers with its magical world and engrossing use of “Rot” that is utilized to breathe life into the game’s world.
Slated for a holiday 2020 release, the game was posed to hit PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC first with remaining platforms to sit out the title’s release. But now, it looks that due to complications within the firm’s progress for the coming project, the title is now set to face an unfortunate delay.
In a letterhead posted on the team’s Twitter account, Ember Labs shares that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be releasing sometime during the first financial quarter in 2021.

“This year has brought many challenges and out transition to working from home has caused development to move slower than we hoped. For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Kena: Bridge of Spirits to Q1, 2021.
Not only will the game be facing a later release than anticipated due to the precautions imposed by the occurring pandemic, but the same is also expected to be for other platform users awaiting for the respected port to ship after the game’s release. As for the new timeframe for the 2021 title, expect Kena: Bridge of Spirits to ship sometime between April to June next year.
In previous news disclosed by Ember Labs, the developer disclosed in a response on Twitter that users who pay for the PlayStation 4 version for Kena: Bridge of Spirits can upgrade to the next-generation version on PlayStation 5 for free. You can read the full report by heading here.
