When prescribing where to start for Final Fantasy, it is usually a straight shot for the seventh entry. Especially thanks to the game’s remake in 2020, now there is a definitive way to indulge. Not to mention that Square Enix already confirmed its second part – Final Fantasy VII Remake: Rebirth – is in development too. 

Some point towards just picking up where the series is heading as well. Currently, Final Fantasy XVI is set to release for PlayStation 5 later this June. However, when its in regards to the original entries, the games weren’t so accessible. But, Square Enix did re-release the games for mobile devices and PC for entries I – VI.

Now in a new announcement this week, Square Enix confirms Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series in its entirety is to ship later this month for Nintendo Switch & PlayStation 4. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“The first six Final Fantasy games have been updated with beautiful new 2D pixel graphics designed to look great on HD displays, rearranged soundtracks overseen by original composer Nobuo Uematsu and improved gameplay features, including modernised user interface, auto-battle options and more,” the press release reveals.

In total, there are six games for purchase. Square Enix is charging $11.99 both Final Fantasy I & II each. But, Final Fantasy III – VI will cost $17.99 separately. There is a bundle that will save you with the complete ‘Final Fantasy I – VI Bundle’ costing you $74.99 in total. Buying all games one at a time would cost you roughly $96 before taxes.
