So far, Apex Legends Season 23 – From The Rift remains to leave players just enough if deciding to return. The entirety of the season has introduced Rift weapons that mix in an arsenal from different points of Apex’s timeline including Titanfall firearm, the EPG-1. Since then, we’ve witnessed limited-time events such as the holiday celebration ‘Winter’s Haunt’ that also returned the fan-favorite Winter Express game mode.

Additionally, Apex Legends more recently entered its next event, Astral Anomaly. The new game mode not only features a new assortment of themed cosmetics, but features the addition of Launch Royale for all featured maps – not just King’s Canyon. Now, Apex Legends is returning one hallmark event that still shook the player base.

Last January, Respawn Entertainment revealed that Apex Legends will be crossing over with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to celebrate the game’s release. Now with the PC version nearing launch, a new ‘Lunar Rebirth’ Collection Event is making its way this week; January 21st to February 4th. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Celebrate Lunar New Year with a cosmic twist, as Materia from the FINAL FANTASY™ VII REBIRTH Event returns via Rift Relics. Wield the devastating Buster Sword R2R5 and equip Hop-Ups to summon a SOLDIER Nessie, boost your critical rate, and much more. Pull from the returning 36 FINAL FANTASY™ VII REBIRTH-themed cosmetics with items you already own counting towards your Loot progress—with all six Iconic Legend skins also in the store for direct purchase,” the synopsis reads.

“Earn rewards in the new Lunar Rebirth Reward Track, and collect from 24 event cosmetics as you work toward Alter’s ‘Voidsnake’ Prestige Skin complete with three tiers, a Skydive Trail, and a Finisher.” The event which features the return of the Buster Sword also includes Red, Green, Purple, and Blue Materia upgrades as well.
