This year, 2-24 remains probably one of the most plentiful for No Man’s Sky. Since the first update in February, there has been a total of four updates: Omega, Orbital, Adrift, and Worlds. Across each one has continued the formula of adding new content to the base game and increasing the worth for new and avid players to hop onto Hello Games’ ongoing space experience.

In July, the latest update ‘Worlds Part I’ came with a massive wave of improvements. Understood from the naming for the update, there is more to come in that sector later on. But what is included goes more than skin deep featuring a bevy of visual improvements to the core game as well as new planets that defy gravity with floating islands.

Now on Wednesday, Hello Games returns. And while Worlds Part II is still not ready, No Man’s Sky is instead welcoming the newest ‘Aquarius’ update this week featuring an emphasis on fishing. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

“Fishing in No Man’s Sky is a uniquely relaxing experience. Players can now explore the universe to find their perfect waterside spot, hopping with fish. Sit and relax alone with your thoughts, or stand alongside fellow Travellers as you look out over alien vistas waiting for a bite. The thrill of the catch lies in the fact that you never quite know what you’re going to pull up.

“The variety of aquatic life ranges vastly from common minnow-like fish to huge alien marine mammals. Catches vary greatly from planet-to-planet and dedicated anglers will have to travel far to find the rarest of fish.” The update also includes an all-new Exo-Skiff for fishing, unique recipes tied to your catches, and Deep-Sea Diving Suit to pursue below the water’s surface.

How excited are you for No Man’s Sky Aquarius Update?

No Man’s Sky is out now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR, and PlayStation VR 2.
