Through the iconic state that Fortnite became thanks to its simplistic design choices and control scheme, it makes up in organic gameplay and a slew of content that arrives to the game on behalf of Epic Games. But, this new Season for the title went on to really shake the cage for fans grandfathered into the game. In that, building was removed for the first time ever.

In a similar move from Epic Games when the first map for the battle royale was sucked into a blackhole as multiplayer was shut down for a set of days then, this was another instance of the developer shifting the game in a new direction with building being removed. But, known Fortnite dataminer @HYPEX told this would only be a temporary decision.

This week it was revealed to be accurate with building now back in the main version of the game. But, a new game mode ‘Zero Build’ was introduced which players can drop into without having to worry about building with raw PvP. You can watch the trailer for the new mode in the video below:

“The battle has changed! No-build Battle Royale arrives in Fortnite with the launch of Fortnite Zero Build.  Zero Build is a pure test of weapon, item, and traversal ability. Zero Build can be found in the Discover page as Solo, Duos, Trios, and Squads playlists,” Epic Games writed. The team also emphasizes on the use of mantling and ascenders with building out of the equation in the game mode.

As for other additions coming to Fortnite, a native NVIDIA GeForce Now release is on the way. The port will act as the mobile version via browser-based streaming for both Android and iOS. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you relieved building is back with the new Zero Build mode arriving?

Fortnite is out now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
