Epic Games were the center of attention this last week with the company announcing massive layoffs to almost 900 employees which is about 16% of what the company has. Along with this news, Epic announced an increase in the price of Fortnite V-Bucks, the in-game currency purchased with real money.
V-Bucks will see a price adjustment across many regions such as the Czech Republic, Denmark, Eurozone countries, Hungary, Japan, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, and the United States. This adjustment will be made on October 27, 2023.
The price of 1,000 V-Bucks will cost $8.99 USD, 2,800 will cost $22.99 USD and 13,500 will cost $89.99 USD. The increase is around 15% in the United States.
Epic stated the reason for these changes is due to economic factors such as inflation and currency fluctuations. The company did state that Fortnite Crew subscription pricing will not be affected by these recent moves.
