It is for certain that Xbox Game Pass remains at the forefront of Microsoft’s concerns pertaining to Xbox. Although console is a good chunk of its platform, reach for the subscription is the biggest priority. Already, we’ve witnessed this with support for Amazon Fire Sticks earlier in the summer alongside proper integration for Fire TVs more recently as well.
Partly due to this adjustment to bringing revenue to Xbox Game Pass, a price increase was confirmed. All tiers are to face new pricings and also introduce a new tier – Xbox Game Pass Standard. While ‘Core’ is for casuals users and avid players can indulge in ‘Ultimate’, ‘Standard’ is the middle of the road option. As a result of this change, Ampere Analysis reported that revenue could climb to $5.5 billion by next year for Microsoft in that regard.
Now this week with the launch of Xbox Game Pass Standard, the definitive line drawn between ‘Standard’ and ‘Ultimate’ is revealed. And that includes a gaping number of titles that are now absent from the initial Xbox Game Pass console subscription. On ResetEra, user vixolus gathered the complete list. You can read the full list below:

Evidently, there is about four dozen different titles that were initially offered on Xbox Game Pass that are no longer listed with the new Xbox Game Pass Standard tier. Among the list, this also includes major first-party titles including Starfield, Forza Motorsport, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. What’s more, new additions that came in the last few months are also on this list as well like Neon White & Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.
In a statement to Kotoku, Microsoft responded that select games are not added immediately, but could be later on. “New day one games available with Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass will not be immediately available with Game Pass Standard and may be added to the library at a future date. This could be up to 12 months or more and will vary by title.”
Are you surprised at all by this new discovery for Xbox Game Pass Standard?
