For those who might recall from Gearbox Software back in May over a year ago, the studio unveiled that its then-coming and highly-anticipated Borderlands 3 would be receiving an influx of added content following the base game shipping later in September. The team sharing that endgame content and of course a collection of story expansions are expected to ship for the title as the title ages.
And to further keep its promise, Gearbox Software has recently announced its fourth DLC add-on for Borderlands 3 this week. Unveiling Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, the new expansion on the base game will bring players to a new setting with an abundance of new experiences to find in the fourth downloadable content campaign for the game.
You can watch the announcement trailer for the DLC in the video below:
“Brilliant scientist Patricia Tannis believes they’ve been driven insane by the knowledge of a mythical place she calls ‘Vaulthalla,’ and the key to uncovering this legendary location lies within the mind of Krieg, the most badass psycho of them all,” the synopsis reads from the blog post. “So naturally, Tannis is sending you on a mission into Krieg’s chaotic mind in search of clues. Only by surviving the perils of Krieg’s twisted inner world can you reap the rewards of Vaulthalla.”
Gearbox Software discloses that owners of the game not in possession of the Season Pass for Borderlands 3 will receive a small update as well. In that, players can find that both weapon and character levels in the game will now be pushed to its next full capacity of 65. The firm tells this will be the last time the level will be increased, “at least for the foreseeable future.”
One aspect worth noting is that the Borderlands 3 Anniversary Celebration will be stretching onward until the release of the fourth add=on expansion. The final segment for the celebratory event will integrate the Making It Rain modifier allowing all enemies to drop more in-game cash.
