Ghostrunner Launches For Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 This September, Free Cross-Gen Upgrades Included

Upon reviewing the recent Ghostrunner timeline, there is plenty that was revealed earlier in 2021. To kick it off, developer One More Level mapped out details in terms of content for the October-released title. In that, players can anticipated in-game updates including new packs and photo mode to ship for the game. Additionally, dedicated next-generation versions are also promised for the latter half of this year.

But more recently, it was learned that the Ghostrunner IP was outright acquired by late publisher 505 Games. Although publishing initial began with All In! Games, 505 Games ended up co-publishing prior to the game’s release and ended up making the complete purchase for €5m. Later on, it was revealed that Ghostrunner 2 is to begin work as One More Level returns to commence production on the sequel.

According to One More Level/505 Games, Ghostrunner is to expect its official debut for Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 later this fall.

As you might anticipate for these new versions, Ghostrunner is projected to achieve 4K resolution whilst targeting 120 frames per second. Furthermore, raytracing is also said to be featured in the new versions alongside 3D audio. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners are said to find cross-gen support for the game when the version drops this September.

Reiterating on the original reveal this week, Nintendo Switch owners can also anticipate physical versions of Ghostrunner as well in both the United States and Europe. Gathered by the photo shared, there also appears to be physical versions in the works for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when those arrive respectively later this autumn.
