In just close to a month, Sony Interactive Entertainment & Santa Monica Studio has taken the industry by storm with God of War Ragnarok. From our review, it is one of the, if not the most hightest-rated titles this year. “Kratos and Atreus are the heart and steel that forge God of War Ragnarök into a flawless and fitting end to the Norse Saga.”
But, there is more that can come to the game which fans were counting the days to ship – a photo mode. Many games in recent time implement this feature either at launch or sometime later in post-launch. For prior exclusives, titles such as Returnal alongside Nioh 2 both welcomed photo mode after its release. So it is not unusual that the feature comes after the initial release.
From a new blog post this week, God of War Ragnarok introduces photo mode and with it comes a slew of tools for players to take the perfect shot. “Since the release of photo mode in God of War (2018), we’ve been continuously amazed by the amount of talent and passion in the Video Game Photographer community that has gathered to the game,” says Santa Monica Studio Lead Community Manager Grace Orlady.
“From quiet moments with Kratos and Atreus, to the elegant and brutal combat shots with ice and fire flying – the range of the photographers who take shots in God of War has been a constant source of inspiration for our team. With this latest update to God of War Ragnarök, we’re happy to finally be able to give you all access to Photo Mode in this game as well!”
In other recent news regarding God of War Ragnarok, it was revealed that the game within a week toppled more than 5.1 million sold units. The game now marks one of the fastest-selling releases for a PlayStation title ever. You can read the full report by heading here.
