At the beginning of the year, it was announced that a new Dragon Ball title will be releasing later in 2019 which follows the origin story of protagonist Goku in a new RPG adventure given the placeholder name Project Z. The announcement was an interesting twist as many fans are all aware of the story behind the hero, which made the reveal an even bigger surprise as players will get a more in-depth view of how the character came to be through this new game.

Rather than the game’s initial 2019 aimed release window, the title now has been stamped with a 2020 timeframe for launch.
According to the latest issue of V-Jump magazine, it reveals that the upcoming fighter will include more than one playable character aside from Goku to be in your control. Sharing that you will be able to play Gohan, Picollo, and Vegeta as well as having them as support characters. The Japanese publication also detailed that Chiaotzu, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, and Yamcha are also casted as support characters.
V-Jump also verifies that player’s stats will increased through either eating food or from battle. The magazine even shares that there is a “Pirate Robot-like enemy characters encountered at a base beneath the sea. “
