For fans who might recall from the incident that occurred last month, auto mechanic product manufacturer Next Level racing accidentally posted an image of what looked to be the logo for Gran Turismo 7. At the time, the Australian company shared that the graphic design department at the firm used a forged image made by the team for the advertised banner. Seeing that the game was not announced at the time, it looked that Next Level Racing spilled the beans prematurely.

Now during the recent PlayStation 5 showcase, developer Polyphony Digital unveiled that Gran Turismo 7 is on its way for release exclusively on PlayStation 5. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“Gran Turismo 7 builds on 22 years of experience to bring you the best features from the history of the franchise,” the video description for the game’s trailer reads. “Whether you’re a competitive racer, collector, fine-tuning builder, livery designer, photographer or arcade fan – ignite your personal passion for cars with features inspired by the past, present and future of Gran Turismo.”

If you continued watching after the initial trailer, Polyphony Digital also shares a brief sample of the gameplay when racing on the tarmac. Looking at the PlayStation 5-rendered title, it surely is a difference that players can spot when comparing the its predecessor on the current PlayStation 4.

During last month’s Xbox 20/20 showcase, Microsoft and Codemasters revealed Dirt 5 is on the way. Following the initial announcement, Codemaster shared in a PlayStation Blog post that the coming racer will ship for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 also. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you planning on suiting up for Gran Turismo 7?
