In recent weeks, players over on PlayStation question the future of PlayStation Now. While not the future of its existence, its more on the matter of the next step it will take. So far, claims indicate that ‘Project Spartacus’ will mesh the service with PlayStation Plus to create a new tiered program for avid players. And the recent story on retailers pulling payment cards for the service only appears to fuel that pretense.
Regarding the content for the service, January 2022 offered a healthy lineup with Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Kerbal Space Program: Enhanced Edition, and Mortal Kombat 11 then. However, there will be an end to one initiative. The service will now cease its agreement with Square Enix to deliver a new Final Fantasy title as January was the last month to do so.
According to Sony Interactive Entertainment this week, the next lineup of titles for PlayStation Now is here. You can read the full list below:
Death Squared
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition
Little Big Workshop
Through the Darkest of Times
Noted, not all games are permanent additions to PlayStation Now. In that, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition will only be available for the service until May 2nd this year. Death Squared, Little Big Workshop, and Through the Darkest of Times are all remaining on the service for the unforeseeable future.
For one recommendation, Rectify Gaming points at Death Squared. From our hands-on time with the game at PAX East 2017, Tyler Nienburg writes that the game is “a fun party game, but can get frustrating [with some elements].” You can read the full piece by heading here.
