For those who might need some refreshing on the matters regarding Guilty Gear: Strive, it was shared back in May of this year that Arc System Works decided to postpone the 2020 release for the upcoming installment. Granted that the news was given before an approximate date for the title was provided, the announcement was less impactful with the title now being ushered into “early 2021”, the publisher shares.

The announcement was made in response to the climbing impact of the novel coronavirus as the epidemic hindered the development flow for Guilty Gear: Strive. Since then, fans continue to count the days leading to a new announcement revealing when the game will be arriving in the following year.

Now this past weekend during the Guilty Gear Official Live Stream, Arc System Works unveils that Guilty Gear: Strive will be arriving later this April. In addition to that, the firm also tells that Giovanna and Anji Mito will both be joining the fighter roster for the approaching fighter.

“Guilty Gear: Strive is the latest entry in the critically acclaimed Guilty Gear fighting game franchise,” the overview for the game from the trailer’s description reads.. “Created by Daisuke Ishiwatari and developed by Arc System Works, Guilty Gear: Strive upholds the series’ reputation for groundbreaking hybrid 2D / 3D cel-shaded graphics and intense, rewarding gameplay.”

Most noted from the announcement is the Deluxe &Ultimate Edition for Guilty Gear: Strive. In that, Arc System Work spares that those who decide to pre-order the game will also be granted access three days ahead of the game’s arrival. The contents of the Ultimate Edition is shared to include a themed steelbook, Season Pass 1, digital soundtrack & artworks, and a premium box for the bundle priced at $99.99.

One element worth considering for Guilty Gear: Strive is that the game will be launching for the PlayStation 5. So fans eager to play the game at its maximum potential should consider getting the title for the next-generation console. What are you getting Guilty Gear: Strive on?

Guilty Gear: Strive arrives on April 9, 2020 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
