This past week, many Halo fans anticipating to pick up the upcoming entry for the series, Halo Infinite, were unfortunate to discover that the game will be receiving a push into 2021. With the title being delayed well after the release of the Xbox Series X, users were of course upset to learn that the platform’s most recognized franchise will not release with the next-generation system later this November.
But despite the game’s postponed release into the following year, Monster Energy’s advertisement promotion for the coming first-person shooter is still said to resume as initially planned. And with that, users online seemed to possibly uncover what might be the pricing for the Xbox Series X incidentally.
While the advertising campaign does not officially go live until the beginning of September, you can still access the promotion’s website to view further details included for participants. While players are instantly greeted with double XP bonuses from each can of Monster, they are also in for the chance to win an Xbox Series X system also. Sharing the total amount available from the proceeds towards the sweepstakes, $119,998, Wccftech discovered what could be the official pricing for the console.
SWEEPSTAKES 1sT PRIZES (200): There are two hundred (200) 1st Prizes (each, a “1st Prize” and together with the Grand Prizes, “Prize”) available to be awarded. 1st Prize winners (“1st Prize Winners” and together with the Grand Prize Winners, “Winners”) will receive one copy of the Halo Infinite Video Game and one Xbox Series X Console.
The Total ARV of all 1st Prizes is $119,998. The 1st Prize and its manufacturer’s suggested retail price have not been released to market at the time of print of these Official Rules. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded
Taking the original amount provided and dividing that with the two hundred participating winners to receive the reward that is bundled with a copy of Halo Infinite equals out to an even $599.99. Then simply subtracting the free game from the equation ends with pricing landing at $549.99.
Howbeit, Wccftech does encourage to take their calculations as a rumor for now simply due to Monster Energy disclosing the official MSRP for Xbox Series X to still be undetermined currently. Reflecting on previous reports, this does look to possibly align with a projection from IGN speculating the system to hit above the midpoint of $500, exceeding the original launch price of the Xbox One.
