
HBO announced today that The Last of Us has been renewed for a third season ahead of its Season 2 premiere on April 13. It had been reported previously the popular video game adaptation would be getting a third season, but also the potential for a fourth season.
While there are only two games in The Last of Us series, the sequel does provide enough content for the TV Show to use and split its events across multiple seasons.
The Last of Us Season 2 will go live in a few days and it was already revealed it will have only seven episodes. However, the creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann told Variety that “It’s getting harder to make because every episode gets big”.
From the sounds of it, Season 2 is going to have a lot of big moments for fans to look forward to. It will be interesting to see what parts of The Last of Us II will take place during this season.
