This month, Hogwarts Legacy officially hit store shelves. But for the millions playing, lesser can recall the original leak that took place in 2018. It was not until PlayStation & Warner Bros. Games officially revealed that game at the 2020 PlayStation State of Play. Howbeit, it would take roughly two years before the game reached its fans.

So far, the game has broken milestones as it overtakes titles like Fallout 4 on Steam and even grew into being the most-streamed single-player games on Twitch ever. Over at the PlayStation Store, the website was selling limited-edition Hogwarts Legacy DualSense controllers and already sold out shortly after pre-orders went live.

But for the “Legacy” that this new game is to offer, post-launch content might not be in the picture. At least, there are no plans currently says Avalanche Software. When speaking to IGN during its recent Fan Fest event, game director Alan Tew says: We’ve been really heads down bringing [Hogwarts Legacy] to life, so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC.”

So far, that is not entirely the case from the game studio. The firm has shipped content for the game with a PlayStation exclusive DLC ‘The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop’. Additionally, Avalanche Software also rolled out new patchwork for Hogwarts Legacy to soften performance on Xbox & PlayStation as well in recent weeks.

IGN does reassure that content so far is not promised for Hogwarts Legacy, but does indicate that Tew’s statement does not set in stone no content is coming to the game. Especially with how expansive the Harry Potter universe can be with how much already the title has realized, there is still more the new game can include.

What DLC would you hope to see come to Hogwarts Legacy?
