Previously Leaked Harry Potter RPG Revealed To Be Hogwarts Legacy, Coming In 2021

Just today during the recent PlayStation 5 showcase held this afternoon, Avalanche Software, Portkey Games, and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that the long-rumored AAA Harry Potter RPG is officially titled Hogwarts Legacy. In it, the firm discloses the new project to be a take on the expansive series more than a century before the events of the source material penned by J.K. Rowling.

Elaborating on the matters of the core story, the details are still fuzzy regarding the plot for the new game. Howbeit, what can be gathered from the official announcement trailer for the title is presented to be an organic experience of a new Hogwarts student as they learn spells, brew potions, and defend themselves against the dark arts.

“When the first book came out, I became an instant fan,” Adrian Ropp, Avalanche Software Story lead shares. “I see each day the multi-generational appeal these stories have earned. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing journey and very grateful that we can finally share the excitement with the world. 

“This is a labor of love, and the real magic comes from the dedication and imagination of a team who wants nothing less than to make this an authentic and compelling Wizarding World game.” The trailer ends by sharing that the game is suspected to release sometime in 2021 with no further details to elaborate on the project’s approximate launch.
