Vought International Studios seemingly confirmed Homelander will be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster. This comes right after a collaboration from The Boys and Activision’s Call of Duty was announced. On a TikTok that was posted from Vought Studios there was a comment that possibly confirmed a new collaboration with Mortal Kombat.
TikTok user, Silly goose commented “COD AND POSSIBLY MK???? WWWWW. A reply from Vought Studios says “MK confirmed”. If you go down the thread they also say “Homelander will be available at some point. That’s all we can say”
With anything like this you always have to take it with a grain of salt however, being it’s the official TikTok account for Vought Studios it’s very possible. The Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon hasn’t responded to this comment and most likely won’t until it’s official.
To give you a background of who this character is, The Homelander is one of the main antagonists of the comic book series and Television show, The Boys.
The biggest fighting games tournament, EVO will be taking place August 4-5 this could be an event where this gets revealed. With Mortal Kombat 11 being one of the main games at EVO could it be possible we see a surprise announcement during Top 8 of the tournament? It wouldn’t be the first time we see that happen.
Recently, NetherRealm shared Smoke and Rain will be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 roster when it releases September 19, 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XlS, Nintendo Switch and PC.
How do you feel about Homelander possibly coming to Mortal Kombat 1?
