For fans that have been following Predator: Hunting Grounds, you should be well-aware that the game already shipped last month in April. And while you finally have settled yourself into the boots of the troops and perhaps the intergalactic hunter stalking from the trees above, the fun does not stop there. According to a new announcement, more is planned to ship to the online-only game later on.
Developer Illfonic tells in a new blog post that added content is expected to make waves later this month. Studio CCO Jared Gerritzen shares that there will be two tiers of downloadable content for the game: free and paid. For the universally available content, players can listen to the audio tapes of Alan Schafer voiced by Arnold Schwarzenegger as you progress through the ranks.
As for the latter paid content, Dutch himself will be a playable character to use in-game. Players who pay for the DLC will also receive early access to the ‘Hammerhead’ rifle and Dutch’s Knife that will be released for the public in the following month. Arnold himself also shared his excitement on Twitter for returning to his 1987 role from the film.
“We have some really fun stuff in store for the community. We have both free updates and paid DLC coming in the months ahead that will keep you on your toes in the hunt and continue to make the game exciting for everyone,” Gerritzen shares for following content planned for the game. Illfonic did map out content through a monthly basis, but we only know as far as may for the time being.
Sharing more, Gerritzen reveals that the free tier of DLC will hold for the introduction to new weapons and game modes expected to drop as the game ages. However, the paid will continue its trend to be positioned for additional character packs later on. The first batch is said to arrive on May 26 later this month.
