Originally announced back in June, Square Enix shared that the Kingdom Hearts series will be receiving a new entry in the form of a rhythmic adventure title. Unveiling Melody of Memory, players would be able to enjoy the score from prior installments and take on waves of enemies through the duration of each track.
Slated to arrive in the latter parts of 2020, the publisher told that majority of the firm’s notable characters will be playable aside from the protagonist, Sora. Even more, specific Disney personas will also be present during certain songs which will offer unique experiences based on the music playing per level.
This week, it was spared that the new game will be arriving this fall in mid November. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:
“Experience the music of KINGDOM HEARTS like never before! Melody of Memory features 20+ characters, 140+ music tracks, and online VS multiplayer mode. Explore the music and memories from the KINGDOM HEARTS series!,” the overview reads on the Microsoft Store. “Play as famililar faces from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, including Disney guest characters who will appear to lend you a hand.”
Expanding more on the title, Square Enix in the latest trailer also discloses that Melody of Memory will feature modes for more than one player. Friends can tag on co-op and play ‘side-by-side’ via local play. And online, users can match against other players with online versus battles.
