Kirby and the Forgotten Land Star Crossed World DLC releases August 28, 2025

Nintendo revealed Switch 2 and has revealed new content and enhanced versions of Switch games. One of the games that will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

On top of the Switch 2 Edition treatment, Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be getting its first DLC with ‘Star-Crossed World’.

A Mysterious meteor crashes in the world of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, revealing a new story. Kirby must use his abilities to clear a trail through uncharted territory. The upgrade pack will include new content that can be played in single-player and local co-op, as well as improved performance for the entire game.

When does Kirby’s star-crossed world release?

The Kirby and the Forgotten Land star-crossed world DLC will release on August 28, 2025, for owners of the game on Switch and Switch 2.

In other Kirby-related news, Nintendo revealed Kirby Air Riders, a brand-new title originated from the Nintendo GameCube classic racing-action game Kirby Air Ride. It is led by Masahiro Sakurai, the director of the Super Smash Bros. Series.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land won’t be the only Switch game that will get a Switch 2 upgrade. As Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will receive this treatment as well as others.
