In a recent interview with J-Wave.co.jp, Hideo Kojima was talking about the progress with the development of Death Stranding and in the process of constantly adjusting and play testing Death Stranding due to its open world nature, the team will need extra time for the game to make sure it can be quality.

“Many studios lag behind the planned release date, Death Stranding has been slightly out of the initial plan, but not much delayed,” – Kojima on the progress.

Death Stranding had started full development in 2017 and since then it was known it will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive after being featured at Sony’s conferences and at the most recent E3 conference. We aren’t sure when we could expect the game to release, but it probably won’t be for a while knowing Kojima and there’s a high chance it’ll be on the next PlayStation console at this rate.

In other PlayStation news, we might have found out the release time for The Last Of Us Part II.
