When exploring new updates that came to Xbox in recent weeks, Microsoft has remained adamant in shipping the most to its users. Just this week, the Xbox firm shipped a silent fix to its always-online DRM which enabled both Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S titles to play offline. Additionally, the firm also pressed that party features on Xbox Series X|S would be introducing then filtering out background noise like chewing and chatter.

Looking ahead, the firm has a new Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core which is expected to release in the coming weeks. The gamepad is very similar to the regular Elite Wireless Controller priced at $179, but comes without the additional accessories for customization. Howbeit, users found that Steam enables users to customize the LED logo on the paddle which is a niché feature.

Now this week, Microsoft revealed the said feature can now be tuned natively on console for both Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S users. Of course, both iterations of the Elite Series 2 controllers will involve this tool.

Providing fans with choice and opportunities to express themselves is a core part of our mission. That’s why we are excited to announce color customization for the Xbox button on Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers! Choose from a wide array of colors that combine red, blue, and green LEDs to produce over 16 million hues of light.

Moreover, Microsoft has also carried over the previous party chat filter system to Xbox One & PC now as well. “This month, we’re rolling it out to Xbox One consoles and Windows 11/10 PCs. If you use party chat, you may notice fewer unwanted noises and interruptions than before. Noise suppression helps remove noises like gamepad clicks, breathing, and background noise from your parties.“

Elsewhere in the Xbox Wire blog post, the company also presses that the Games & Apps section has overhauled how you organize the titles you own. “The My games and apps Full library view has been redesigned to streamline access to all games you have access to install and play. All games now shows all the games you own as well as any games you have access to with your current Xbox subscriptions, including Xbox Game Pass, EA Access, and claimed Games with Gold.

“You also get easy access to catalogs of your subscriptions, editorial content, and all your apps.” Installing clients also gives more liberty to choose where exactly you want installs to be too. “In the settings for storage devices, select Change installation locations if you have external drives or a storage expansion card attached. You can select a specific drive as an installation location, or ‘Let Xbox decide’ where to install the content for the fastest drive with available space.”
