After months following the release of the Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S consoles, Microsoft continues to roll out new firmware updates that continue to breathe new life into the newest Xbox consoles. In February, the firm introduced FPS Boost with five games to test the waters. But in April, the number of games multiplied to over ninety and still counting with more updates promised for later on.

Additionally, Microsoft also welcomed aboard the suspend feature for the aforementioned consoles as well. Collected from the choice of wording, players will be given the option to “suspend” games running in the background for better download speeds when installing a client to the device. So speed does not get bottlenecked when you enjoy your system.

Now, the latest May update for Xbox Series X & Xbox Series S is to include a revamp for Quick Resume. While not drastically restructuring the feature, now it will load games even faster tha before, says Microsoft.

Quick Resume is a feature powered by the technical capabilities of the innovative Xbox Velocity Architecture in Xbox Series X|S. It lets you seamlessly switch between multiple games and resume gameplay instantly right from where you last left off. With this update, Quick Resume is getting even better, with improved reliability and faster load times.

We’ve also made it easier to identify and access games that support and are saved to Quick Resume. You’ll be able to see if your current game supports Quick Resume with a new tag.  Gamers on Xbox Series X|S can also take advantage of a new group that lists all the games currently saved in Quick Resume.

You can use the group to see which games are ready launch from Quick Resume and launch from there. Like other groups, you can add it to Home for quicker access or customize your experience by removing a game from the Quick Resume state.

Even more, Microsoft in the title update also offers the ability to green light specific titles for accounts designated for kids. Before, the feature blanket majority of games based on rating, but the update now lets parents choose which games to apply that to. Additionally, there is a new passthrough audio tool which amplifies audio for external devices which many users requested for a while also coming.

While hardware is Microsoft strong point for improving the platform, the firm appears to be looking to grow its audience with – shoes. Complex reports that the Xbox company is collaborating with Adidas to release a complete line of foot apparel throughout the course of 2021 and into the following year.
