Lego Builder’s Journey Gets June Release Date Paved For Next Week

While Lego remains to be a tangible line of plastic toy sets aimed for the younger demographics, the medium continues to bleed into the video game industry from time to time. Previously, it was unfortunately announced that the 2019-announced Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is to be delayed for yet another time with no specified date left for the project.

However, there is also good news from the Danish company. More recently, Lego in collaboration with Nintendo once again unveiled its own Super Luigi Lego Set. In conjunction to the previous Super Mario Lego Set that shipped in 2020, Lego shares that the new set is expected to ship later this August. However, a new game is discovered to be on the way that lego themselves is publishing.

In a new announcement from Light Brick Games, Lego Builder’s Journey is to launch next week. You can watch the new trailer for the game in the video below:

“LEGO Builder’s Journey is an atmospheric, geometric puzzle game that asks us to sometimes follow the instructions… and sometimes to break the rules,” the description for the game reads on Steam. “Take your time to experiment with free-form puzzle solving while immersing yourself in a poetic world of LEGO® bricks.

“Throughout the narrative, there will be ups and downs, challenges, and celebrations. Figuring out who we are and what we become is the Builder’s Journey. The breathtaking LEGO brick world is brought to life with the most accurately rendered LEGO elements yet to feature on screens, including stunning ray tracing elements.”

According to the team’s website, Lego Builder’s Journey is also to be RTX-enabled with raytracing support as well. “Based on Unity HDRP rendering pipeline and Nvidia RTX technology, including DLSS, we have achieved a new, photorealistic look using real-time ray tracing of lighting, shadows and reflections.“
