In the past couple of days, reports began to circulate suggesting that the next Lego game might be receiving an upsetting delay. Speaking of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the game on the Traveller’s Tales website was no longer listed to arrive this year, but instead told to arrive the coming year in 2021.
Now during the Gamescom Opening night Live show, the studio alongside Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that the anthology of Lego Star Wars games will now be coming next spring. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:
What is very apparent in the trailer is that the experience from the initial six Star Wars entries has now been revamped with new additions missing from the original versions. Elements such as voice acting has replaced the traditional interjections that was used in the base game alongside properly reimaging the experience found in every level. From stylish graphics to stunning sound design, there is a lot to gather from this new look at the game.
Traveller’s Tales also disclosed that with the new release date for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, there will be supported versions for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Howbeit, the firm has yet to comment if users on current-generation hardware will be able to proceed to the next-generation consoles freely or will have to purchase the game a second time.
Earlier this May, Traveller’s Tales officially unveiled the key art for the coming Lego Star Wars title. You can read the full report by heading here.
