For many fans of the newest release, Helldivers 2 is one of the most notable entries for 2024. In our review for the game, Rectify Gaming scored Helldivers 2 a 7.5/10. “Arrowhead’s Helldivers 2 is an addictively fun co-op shooter that delivers explosive thrills and laughs, when it works at least. […] But it is indeed a worthy successor to the original game, and a great homage to the sci-fi space action genre.” 

Beyond the expansive experience that succeeded the first installment, Helldivers 2 swiftly became one of the best-selling installments this year. By May 2024, roughly 12 million copies of the game were sold. What’s more, Arrowhead Game Studios this past week revealed that it is rolling out a new title update for Helldivers 2 – Omens of Tyranny.

From the same announcement, Sony Interactive Entertainment unveiled that a limited-edition DualSense controller will be coming next year to commemorate the first anniversary for Helldivers 2. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:

As for another most recent example of a themed PlayStation 5 DualSense, Monster Hunter Wilds is another candidate. In October, it was revealed that a new controller & console plates are on the way.
