It was during last year’s Gamescom that developer Tarsier Studios and publish Bandai Namco unveiled Little Nightmares II. The new installment for the platform survival horror series was shared to feature a second playable character and with series lead Six would tag together to overcome a new onslaught of night terrors that lie ahead of the duo.
Howbeit, the firm has not directly spared much following the game’s public inception last August. But in a new trailer that broke during today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live, Tarsier Studios shares a new look at Little Nightmares II. You can watch the new story trailer in the video below:
“Little Nightmares II is a suspense-adventure game in which you play as Mono, a young boy trapped in a world that has been distorted by the humming transmission of a distant tower,” the overview for the sequel reads on its publisher’s website. “With Six, the girl in a yellow raincoat, as his guide, Mono sets out to discover the dark secrets of The Signal Tower and save Six from her terrible fate; but their journey will not be straightforward as Mono and Six will face a gallery of new threats from the terrible residents of this world.”
In addition to a new glimpse at the approaching follow-up, Tarsier Studios unfortunately shared the game will not be arriving in 2021 instead of the initially promised 2020 launch. But with the game slated for February, the firm does confirm the game will be arriving to Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5 also. The team further pressed that free upgrades will be available for users migrating to the next-generation systems also.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Tarsier Studios was officially acquired by THQ Nordic. Despite the purchasing of the Swedish developer, Little Nightmares II is still in possession of Bandai Namco to publish the newest entry. You can read the full report by heading here.
