This Wednesday, Halo Infinite has launched. And so far from our review in progress for the game, it is proving to be a modern epic from its story campaign and a return to greatness in the multiplayer aspect of the release. Reading, “The core gameplay, open world campaign structure and fantastic multiplayer are great right now. Not three months from now, or seasons later. The story of Master Chief and Cortana is riveting, the Banished make excellent enemies and the multiplayer is the most fun I’ve had since Halo 3.
Critic David Rodriguez includes, “If this is the baseline, I can’t wait to see what will come to Halo Infinite in the future.” Already from the performance of the open beta for the game which shipped on Xbox’s birthday last month, it is one of the most impressive release for Microsoft. During that, it became the most-played application on Steam from Xbox Game Studios and swiftly overtook count for concurrent players compared to Battlefield 2042 then.
Now with a lineage of post-launch content said to be in the pipeline for Halo Infinite that 343 Industries promised, the first fragment of that has been uncovered. Over from @ALumia_Italia, it is revealed that Microsoft trademarked Halo: The Endless and The Endless.
“Downloadable game software; computer game software; video game software; computer game software for use with personal computers, home video game consoles, and arcade-based video game consoles; computer game software downloadable from a global computer network; digital media, namely, pre-recorded CD-ROMs, tapes, cartridges, digital video discs, digital versatile discs, DVDs, and high-definition digital discs featuring computer games and video games,” the statement for the goods and services reads under the trademark.
Microsoft filed three trademarks in total: one for Halo: The Endless as an ‘Electrical and scientific apparatus’, The Endless as an ‘Electrical and scientific apparatus’, and The Endless as for ‘Paper good and printed matter’. The third is likely to be for licensed collectibles that launch with the add-on. For those playing the story, The Endless is briefly mentioned by the Harbinger in Halo Infinite to give perspective for this early decision.
