This coming June, it will mark two years since the first and currently last issue of information regarding FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. Being published by Bandai Namco, the game when initially announced disclosed to be collaborating with Game of Thrones author, George R. R. Martin. However, the project continues to linger in the back of the minds of fans as no new details emerged since that one summer.
Although FromSoftware continues to keep a closed lid on the highly-anticipated title, tidbits in regards to Elden Ring did surfaced elsewhere. For instance, Xbox lead Phil Spencer discloses that the build he witnessed is “clearly the most ambitious game that he’s [Hidetake Miyazaki, Elden Ring Director] done.”
Leaving fans hungry more than a year later, rumors begin to wiggle through the cracks suggesting that Microsoft will present new information on the coming title – mainly due to holding marketing rights to the game. But, Xbox General Manager Aaron Greenberg says otherwise.
Just to set expectations: this is not happening. There are always things we have in the works, but nothing coming soon that would feature game announcements or world premieres like this. https://t.co/nO868SCbpZ

In the tweet, Greenberg directly denounces the report suggesting the possibility of a new Elden Ring trailer coming in the supposed Xbox Showcase set for late March. Furthermore, Greenberg does not entertain the idea of a Microsoft-held show for March in the post either.
Looking at FromSoftware most recently, it is discovered that Sony established a minor acquisition stake into FromSoftware parent company Kadokawa. Unsure of the intentions of the purchase, it surely indicates a stronger relationship between the developer and the console titan. You can read the full report by heading here.
