Last week on April 16 marked the initially slated release date for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077. And despite how unfortunate the timing is that fans will not play the game until the a new release date arrives later this September, Microsoft went to tease some interesting and related information regarding the upcoming sci-fi, open world title.

On Twitter, the firm posted a line of code with a subliminal meaning for fans to uncover. While simultaneously on the official Xbox website, Microsoft patched in a clip to play of the domain being compromised disclosing to return on April 20 for more information. While the screen was distorted to understand what exactly is happening, one clear implication given from the video is a shadowed in profile of a console and controller.

Putting the pieces together instantly unraveled the conundrum to be a themed Xbox One X bundle. Alongside users deciphering the tease, a listing for the controller itself was listed on Amazon Canada and was delisted not to long after the initial discovery which also fueled the claim. Follow suit, images of the console alongside a trailer for the bundle seeped into public view.

Now just moments ago, Microsoft officially unveiled the console with a glimpse of the bundle alongside sharing more decorative accessories for users to purchase in excitement for the upcoming title.

One noted feature that many were taken off guard by was the presentation of the hardware. The theme based off the metropolis Night City of weathered components and graffiti, this easily complements the atmosphere of the game. But what is most interesting is that some elements of the design for the console glows in the dark. This decorative approach for the Xbox One X also looks to suggest owners to stand up the console vertically alike the approaching Xbox Series X.

Other reveals that were showcased in the announcement elsewhere on Xbox Wire introduces themed accessories for users to indulge in as well. One being the Xbox Pro Charging Stand with the design adopted from the console’s look running for $49.99. And a ‘Johnny Silverhand Edition’ Arctis 1 headset priced at $109.99.

The most noted detail from the entire announcement is that despite Cyberpunk 2077 arriving later in the fall, the bundle itself will be available this coming June three months in advance. As for why this could potentially be influenced by, Niko Partners’ David Ahmad suspects that production for the current Xbox One X will be reduced in anticipation for the upcoming release of the newer system later this year.
