In terms of the roadmap for Minecraft this year, 2021 has featured some expansive additions for the ongoing release. From the newly renamed Mojang Studios, The Caves & Cliffs Updates is slated to release in two parts: the first which launch back in June is to feature the blocks from the title update. However, the latter generation portion of the new framework would not be delivered until much later on this year.

Since then, Mojang Studio went on to feature more plans for the game. For one, Minecraft Live this fall featured three new mobs that could potentially launch for Minecraft: Glare, Allay, and Copper Golem. The Allay ended up winning the voter’s choice. At the start of November, Microsoft officially launched both Java & Bedrock versions of Minecraft to Xbox Game Pass for PC.

This week, Mojang Studios shipped out a new launch trailer revealing Caves & Cliffs Part II is now available. You can watch the cinematic footage in the video below:

“As you can tell, there is so much to explore in Part II. The Overworld is getting new terrain generation, an increased world height, dripstone caves, lush caves, larger ore veins, candles, and friendlier goats. OK, that last one was technically a lie but only because I am now living in constant fear of being rammed off the side of a mountain,” writer Sofia Dankis writes in the blog post.

Also from the recently held Mineccraft Live, the next major update for Minecraft was showcased. Unveiling The Wild Update, swamplands are receiving a revamp with new trees to populate the biome with the addition of mud & frogs to bring life to the generated region of the game.
