For those that might recall from the previous Minecraft Live back in 2019, developer Mojang at the time held a poll asking its players what they believe might be the next addition to the game to improve the biomes already present in Minecraft. As you can guess, the mountains update is what won with the Cliffs & Caves Update still underway as part two is aimed to be delivered later this fall.

Moving on to the recent Minecraft Live for 2021, Mojang Studios returned with more information on its plans for the ongoing title. As the coming title update continues to shape in its own way for release this year, the team held another mob vote for Minecraft to possibly feature the Glare, Allay, or Copper Golem. Additionally, a new biome update is on the way.

Announcing The Wild Update, players can find massive improvements to the generated region with new trees and wildlife such as frogs & tadpoles. You can watch the rundown video in the footage below:

“The Wild Update will bring new gameplay, more depth, and lots of fun stuff to the game. Like mud and mangrove swamps. MORE SWAMPS! My natural habitat is slowly taking over the Overworld. Along with different types of frogs and tadpoles, we’re also getting boats with chests!” Minecraft.net writer Sofia Dankis pens for the overview of the new update.

“This is something that a lot of people have been requesting for a long time, and we understand why. Is there anything better than an aquatic picnic? Or maybe you just want to bring your dirt blocks with you when you take to the lake. I know I do.“ Atop of the new additions to pre-existing biome, the previously promised ‘Deep Dark’ for the Cliffs & Caves update is now to be paired with The Wild Update.
