The Minecraft Movie is a real thing and it was recently revealed that the film will begin production at the end of December 2023. Although the movie is over a year away from its release, we do know a few details about the movie such as who stars in it, the director, and more.

Director: Jared Hess, known for Napoleon Dynamite
Stars: Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Danielle Brooks (The Angry Birds Movie) as Dawn, Sebastian Eugene Hansen as Henry, and Jack Black as Steve
Producers: Roy Lee (The Lego Batman Movie, Godzilla vs Kong), Jill Sobel Messick (Mean Girls, Baby Mama), and Mary Parent (Pacific Rim, Dune)
Mojang Studios chief storyteller Lydia Winters & chief media officer Vu Biu will also be attached to produce.
