It looks that Mixer has gained now a second Twitch icon to hop over to Microsoft’s streaming platform as streamer Shroud has announced that he has officially moved over to the still fairly new game streaming service. Michael Grzesiek revealed this through a tweet reading “Same shroud. New home” followed by a link to his new page on Mixer.
Following the announcement for the streamer migrating over to Mixer, fans instantly went to his former Twitch account and instantly noticed that is verification rank on the Amazon-owned streaming platform has been removed, same that happened to Ninja back in August.

Searching for the source as to the reasoning why Shroud has decided to jump ship on twitch has yet to be revealed, again alike the scenario with Ninja previously. Although Tyler Blevins did have some roots imbedded in Xbox’s DNA through his professional position in the competitive Halo scene prior to the debut of the Xbox One, Shroud’s decision has lesser evidence as to why.
Leading back to Grzesiek’s choice towards becoming a streamer exclusively on Mixer, many on the internet have came to the conclusion of some sort of payment have been provided between Microsoft and the latest addition to the platform. Regarding what the party has provided to Grzesiek exactly was not reported on the time of the announcement.
However, despite users claiming Shroud to be some sort of sellout, he shows to be excited for what comes next for his journey o Mixer. Tweeting “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” energetically to the Mixer Twitter account when welcomed to the platform. Another from Xbox head Phil Spencer again welcoming Grzesiek to Mixer, where he responds “Excited to be here.”
What are your thoughts on Shroud now being the second streamer to abruptly announce his partnership with Mixer?
