While Monster Hunter World left a big impression on those that were unfamiliar with the titular franchise, Capcom decided to keep that momentum going with the new release, Monster Hunter World. Arriving back in March of this year, the game showed to leave a larger footprint on Nintendo Switch owners. With an exclusive release alongside a themed bundle for the newest in the series, that is only the start of what is on the way for the latest entry.

From our critic David Rodriguez, he shared his time with the game “does a great job of performing fantastic on the smaller system.” Adding, “All the bells and whistles are there, and despite the hardware limitations art style pushes Rise to new series heights.” Of course, the post-launch plan for Monster Hunter Rise is to be even more exciting thanks to Capcom.

On Tuesday, Capcom announced that the newest Collab for Monster Hunter Rise will cross paths with Okami. The free add-on is available starting today, July 20. You can watch the full trailer in the video below:

“Equip this [layered armor] to change the look and bark of your Palamute,” the blog post explains. “It will even support you with one of each type of the three Divine Instruments: a Reflector, a Rosary, and a Glaive! The effects while riding your Palamute will change depending on the locale as well! Even Issun, Ammy’s trusty travel companion, will make his appearance!”

While Monster Hunter Rise remains a unique release for the Nintendo Switch now, it will not be forever, says Capcom Japan. Speaking with FanByte, Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Director Yasunori Ichinose told that the plan is to release the game on PC sometime next year in 2022.
