More Details On Upcoming Celeste DLC Revealed

Right before Christmas in 2018, Celeste creator Matt Thorson revealed that additional difficult levels will be dropped into the game for free sometime in early 2019. For what else the game’s studio had planned in the future for the Game of the Year nominated platformer was not detailed.

Recently Thorson has tweeted some insight on the unannounced DLC chapter for Celeste.

In his tweet, he mentions that the upcoming content will not be releasing in celebration for the game’s one year anniversary release on January 25th. He also expands on by stating that the DLC will come out after the previously announced onerous levels coming at an unrevealed date: which also means that might not even come until February at the latest.

Other noted information from the tweet also reveals that the game will be “one continuous chapter” with no B-side like in the base game and will be free for every platform the game is available on. No details revolving around when fans could expect either of the forthcoming, cost-free content to launch.

Matt Makes Games’ Celeste is currently free for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers for the month of January.

Celeste is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
