In the past week, NetherRealm Studios officially released Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate welcoming new enhancements to the base game alongside a newly optimized version for the next-generation consoles. Not only that, but cross-play officially releases for the game alongside cross-progression carrying over to the latest Xbox or PlayStation.

Additionally, NetherRealm Studios pressed on Kombat Pass 2 for the game. Introducing the announcement, the developer unveiled Rain, Sheeva, and Robocop will all be included with the new add-on additions in the coming future. However, there are also some other intriguing content that the studio has been working aside from the bulk already announced.

In a new trailer uploaded on Tuesday, NetherRealm Studios shares that a new skin pack for Mortal Kombat 11 launches which changes the appearance for some characters to resemble those in the titular 1995 film. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

Ultimately, there are three new skins that players can customize the respected fighter for Mortal Kombat 11 and will take the likeness of the actor portrayed from the original adaptation. Bridgette Wilson-Sampras’ Sonya Blade ‘Island Bound’ skin, Christopher Lampert’s Raiden ‘Earthrealm’ skin, and Linden Ashby’s Johnny Cage ‘Hollywood Kombatant’ skin. Each appearance also comes with a voice track to encapture the actor from the film as well.

Not to be confused, this is not directly relevant to the coming Mortal Kombat film that is in production for a 2021 box office release. For now, the film is told to embrace a R-rating and feature notable fatalities. To guess, a similar pack might be introduced in conjunction with the film’s release.
