New Darksiders Title Leaked Ahead Of E3 Announcement

Yet another leak prior to the biggest event in the gaming industry has emerged just a couple days short before June: this time however, it was discovered through the E3 Coliseum website listing a new title from THQ Nordic.

Earlier this month, it was revealed through listings for the approaching video game event that publisher THQ Nordic will have two titles primed for an announcement next month. One many find to be a new installment for the Red faction series sourced from implications in the description, reading: “the long-awaited return of a galactically beloved game/franchise.”

And the second game with no revealing information deprived from the description, but it does seem that this recent leak could be the missing piece as it reads similar to the prior listing from earlier this month. Discovered earlier today by WCCFTech, the outlet found on the E3 website a new listing which details a new Darksiders title.

A discussion about the inception of the Darksiders universe and where it’s headed next. This panel will coincide with the E3 2019 unveil of a brand new Darksiders game that takes the franchise in a fresh direction. This is a panel discussion about the art and business of creating and maintaining an action adventure franchise rich in-game and corporate lore.

One segment that raises an eye from the description of the Darksiders Panel is that this unnamed title is said to take a more “fresh direction” compared to prior titles: just like the previous listing which reads similarly as “a new vision of a beloved game/franchise.” Atop of other details in the paragraph sharing that the team will expand on the “corporate lore” which works towards creating the franchise, which no one seems to understand by what they exactly mean.

It was also revealed through the listing that Airship Syndicate will be working on this new title. The studio which is made up of a majority of former Vigil Games developers have moved on to create Battle Chaser: Nightwar. With new hands on deck compared to gunfire games from Darksiders III, this could be instrumental towards fixing some of the problems with last year’s title.
