In the past, Sony Interactive Entertainment in collaboration with LEGO revealed a new set inspired by Horizon Forbidden West. And while an enticing crossover between both LEGO & one of PlayStation’s most popular IPs, there wasn’t more many would anticipate from the one-time arrangement. That was until LEGO Horizon Adventures was announced in 2024.
From our review for the game, Rectify Gaming scored LEGO Horizon Adventures a 7.5/10. “Neither a sequel, prequel, or a spinoff of Horizon Zero Dawn. It is a downplayed retelling of the first Horizon game that is more lighthearted and kid friendly. […] LEGO Horizon Adventures delivers a pleasant and not-so-serious rendition of Horizon Zero Dawn that is both adorable and fun to play. However, its overly simplified and lighthearted gameplay loop becomes too monotonous and one dimensional after long periods of play.”
And now with the heat finally off the November release, LEGO & PlayStation showcase a new LEGO Set inspired by LEGO Horizon Adventures. ‘Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth’ set launched this month. You can watch the showcase video below:
“Based on the LEGO Horizon Adventures video game, this machine-monster toy LEGO gaming set includes 2 minifigures:Aloy and her loyal ally Varl. Aloy carries a bow and Varl carries a spear. Each weapon features upgrades that can be added to enable the fire, chill or shock methods of attack – just like in the video game. 2 buildable robot-creature toys are also included.
“Shell-Walker has posable legs and arms, opening claws and a detachable cargo pod and energy shield.
