When viewing the summit that is the lineup of Yakuza titles, it is no surprise how intimidating the list can be – especially when titles such as ‘Like a Dragon’ is now prominent. Previously, RGG Studio confirmed that its series will adopt the new title over ‘Yakuza’ as the series strays away from the tale regarding the crime syndicate. And part of that also came with the early 2023 release of Like a Dragon: Ishin earlier this year.
Additionally, the same can also be said for the next mainline installment: Like A Dragon 8. Even more, Yakuza: Like a Dragon is receiving a prequel dubbed ‘Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’ to add confusion if you were not following already. More is expected to be revealed at the upcoming RGG Summit later in June.
Well, at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, RGG Studio & Sega unveiled a new November release date for Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:
“There is a mysterious container ship located in Osaka Bay. At its center is a cage where your fighting skills will be put to the test. You might be the strongest so far, but three new legendary yakuza fighters just entered the arena! Can you leave the cage victorious?” the official website description reads for the game.
Unlike previous centered Yakuza/now-Like a Dragon titles focusing on turn-basedcombat as explained, Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name does feature the brawler fighting style once more. Pre-ordering the game even comes with a Legendary Fighert Pack’ featuring Daigo Dojima, Goro Majima, and Taiga Saejima.
